Panos Chatzipanos

Panos Chatzipanos, Ph.D., is a Civil Engineer and internationally recognized expert in project portfolio management, strategic leadership, and the delivery of major infrastructure and real estate development projects. With more than 40 years of professional experience, including 19 years as a C-level executive in ATHEX-listed construction companies, he brings a rare combination of technical depth, executive judgment, and leadership in global standards.
He is a Senior Consultant to the World Bank on organizational portfolio management and infrastructure programs and projects, Principal at PMOAdvisory, Inc. (USA), and Immediate Past President of Green Athens S.A. His expertise spans business leadership, portfolio and project management, wet infrastructure engineering, and transformational change.
Panos serves as Vice Chair of the ASCE Global Region, ASCE Governor for Europe, and former President of the ASCE Hellenic Section. He is also a former President and Honorary President of PMI-Greece and a member of PMI’s Standards Consensus Committee. He is PMI’s Global Chair for the 5th edition of the Standard for Portfolio Management and has co-authored four PMI global standards and practice guides, as well as the book “Implementing Project Portfolio Management”, published by PMI.
